New Products based on Visionglow's "glow-in-the-dark" technology
Glow-in-the-dark products utilizing photo luminescent technology have been available for many years.
The earliest pigment came in the form of Zinc Sulphides and of more recent years Strontium Aluminates have been used as revolutionary materials to manufacture new products.
However both of these compounds have limitations.
Zinc Sulphides' after glow deteriorates rapidly in the presence of UV radiation.
Strontium Aluminates are not only more expensive but particle size can also be an issue in comparison to the Visionglow pigment range.
At smaller particle sizes, the unique physical properties and chemistry of Visionglow's pigment ensure a more than comparable glow in the low micron range.
New product ideas today and for the future
Visionglow pigments are behind many new product ideas today and will continue to pave the way for manufacturers to continue to develop new concepts in the future.
New product ideas are virtually unlimited.
Just some of the ever increasing range of industries benefiting as a result of the cooperation between Visionglow, scientists and manufacturers around the world include:
1. Marine safety application: boats, rafts, kayaks, hulls, pontoons, jetties, buoys.
2. Hospital and domestic safety: microbial toilet seats, light switches, bacterial detection.
3. Textiles: glowing fabrics for emergency services, traffic authorities and fashion.
4. Horticulture and gardening: pathways, ornaments, lighting.
5. Commercial building and industrial safety.
6. Mining.
7. Agriculture.
8. Transport industries:
road marking, anti-slip step and floor products, signage, extrusions,
floor & wall paints & coatings, aerosol paints, phosphorescent glass, acrylic chips
9. Arts and Crafts: specialized fluorescent and photoluminescent paints
Our vision for the future
What is our vision for the future?
We are constantly developing new pigments for the ever expanding photoluminescent industry - brighter pigments, new colours, various formulations for different applications.
